Fargo, ND.

I've been in Fargo, ND for company training since Monday night.

A tractor in an airport? Only in Fargo!

Anyway, If you could call me apprehensive on Sunday, you might say I'm much more at ease now. There are still plenty of ways to kill yourself while flying in and around thunderstorms, but they are from human factors errors, not from the job itself. In other words, if your doing the job correctly, you really don't have much to worry about. Situational awareness is key in a job like this, and I feel well prepared. I also feel like my experience as a Captain over the last few years will help me to say No occasionally when I need to ;].

My training over the last two days was orchestrated by a pilot and technician that happen to be married (I think they met at this company?). They go on missions overseas for the company but are taking a break for a while and staying in Fargo. They were in Mali for the company a while ago and you can see their blog here.

Yea, I know its much better than mine ;]. There is lots of good info on their blog so check it out.

Today is Wednessday and I start my journey to Mali Africa tomorrow. I'll fly from Fargo to Chicago to Paris to Bamako. All told its a 26 hour trip Fargo-Bamako. Yay for that. ;]

Later gator
